Hello, and welcome. Brasalume is a new independent game studio from Brazil, and this is our first post.

What the name means

Brasalume joins two Portuguese words. Brasa is an ember: the coal that keeps glowing long after the flames are gone. Lume is light, the kind you carry to find your way in the dark. That is our logo too: a small lantern with an ember burning inside.

It is also what we want our games to be. Small fires that last, that you come back to, and that you want to share with someone.

Our first game: Ignisfall

Our first game is Ignisfall, a dark-fantasy survivor-like roguelike for PC, coming to Steam. The fire is out and the woods are waking up. You only move: your spells cast themselves, every level-up is a choice, and you have to survive twenty minutes of a cursed night until dawn.

  • Six hunters, three lands and thirteen bosses with telegraphed spells.
  • 26 skills and 16 Awakenings to build a storm of fire, frost and steel.
  • Single player, fully offline, with no microtransactions.

The Steam page is the next step. When it goes live, you will find the link here and on ignisfall.com. iOS and Android versions are planned for later.

How we work

We are small on purpose. We care about how a game feels in your hands, we sell games that are yours once you buy them (no loot boxes, no pay-to-win), and we try to respect your time. You can read more on the about page.

What comes next

This page is where studio news will land: announcements, devlog posts and the occasional look behind the scenes. Thank you for reading, and keep the lantern lit.
